It is the largest Yoga organisation in Britain, consisting of democratically elected officers and set up as a registered charity more than 30 years ago. In 1995 the Sports Council recognised BWY as Governing Body for Yoga in Britain. With its nation-wide network of qualified teachers it offers Yoga classes and seminars for members and the public at large up and down the country. BWY not only offers teacher training courses leading to a nationally and internationally recognised teacher diploma but also in-service training events with safe practice always at the very top of the agenda.
